Innerroom Theatre Company is the professional theatre company attached to The Rondo. It currently runs the Youth Theatre for The Rondo, and has produced many new shows both for touring and specifically for The Rondo.
Innerroom was set up in 1993 when three actors and a director met at the bar in The Rondo. The company has produced 9 indoor shows and 3 street theatre pieces working with some of the artists from the Bath & Bristol area.
From 1993 until 1995 The Company was homeless and worked between Leicester and Bath. Innerroom became resident at The Rondo in 1993, assisting with many aspects of the running of the theatre, including setting up an annual summer youth theatre project. In 1998 the company moved base to Windows, from which The Fisher King and The Tempest projects were developed. When in 2001 Andy Burden was appointed director of The Rondo, it seemed appropriate to move back to the theatre. The Youth Theatre was developed to a year round provision and the company worked on new street theatre projects in addition to some one-off shows and touring work.
